He's grrrreat!
Look at me with all these handsome guys! The one holding me is my Great Grandpa Elison. He just celebrated his 84th birthday. I'm not sure how many 84 is, but I think it's a lot. CLICK HERE to see a similar picture of my big brother Gavin that was taken when Gavin was my age and GGE was a spry young man at 81.

I'm 1 Month Old!
Well, those first four weeks sure flew by! Already I'm starting to track things with my eyes, and my mommy & daddy are both pretty sure they've glimpsed a genuine smile on my face. I still sleep a lot - but not always at the right times during the day (or night). Today I rode in the Baby Bjorn carrier while Mommy and Gavin walked to the library. I slept pretty much the whole time, snuggled up against Mommy's chest. Eventually I may care about walks and books but for now I just dig hanging out with the fam.

Role Model
Everyone keeps talking about how beautiful I am. I can't wait to show them that my beauty isn't just skin deep. The girls in my family have a lot more than good looks going for them. Take my cousin McKenzy, for example. She's gorgeous AND smart. And she's also a super big sister to her brother Max. She's eight years old now (eight is great!), which means she's can hold me all by herself. I think we're going to be good friends.

Stats
I had my 2-week checkup yesterday. A little late, since at that point I was 18 days old, but since I'm the second kid nobody's got their diaper in a twist over it. My parents are big on graphs, so I will direct your attention to the figure at right. The green dots show my birth height and weight and the blue dots are yesterday's data. I'm still right around the 50th percentile for height and weight, and believe it or not I've gained a whole pound!

An early career in advertising
One of the gifts I got, just for showing up, was a "Duck Duck Moose" onesie from Maine. Our friends the Frantzes are moving there soon. Even better than the onesie was the Wrapagain reusable gift wrapping fabric that it came in. Looks pretty good wrapped around my bum, don't you think?
