I'm 4 Months Old!

And I'm getting so big! I don't have my 4-month checkup until tomorrow, but right now I weigh around 13 and 1/2 pounds. I've been working on building up some thigh rolls and so far I think I'm doing a good job of it. I really enjoy sitting in my Bumbo chair where I can get a better view of what's going on around me. I also really, really love the mobile above my crib. My hands have found each other and they sometimes even find my mouth. When that happens I like to suck on my knuckles. My good sleeping habits are a thing of the past. A future rock star like me needs to be able to party all night long so I've been getting up 2 or 3 times each night to visit with my mom and have a drink of milk. Speaking of drinking milk, Mommy and Daddy keep trying to get me to drink out of a bottle. Can you believe the nerve of some people? Mommy still takes me to work with her every day. Today I was a good girl and didn't do much to distract her. I even took a 2-hour nap! Some days are like that, and on other days I make sure she knows that all I want is for her to play with me.

Uinta Mountains Weekend

My family and I spent last weekend with the Schellhase family at their cabin in the Uinta Mountains. My new friend Reagan, who is 6, was very pleased to meet me. She enjoyed making me smile and in return I gave her the opportunity to learn where milk comes from.

Hanging with Grandma

Last weekend I had the pleasure of having my Grandma Debby come for a visit. She stayed with us on Saturday night and came all the way up to Beaver Mountain with us on Sunday morning. I usually get stuck in the lodge with Mommy, but this time I had a lot of fun (and a nap) because Grandma kept me company while Mommy went out in the cold with Daddy and Gavin. I'm so lucky!

Littlest Bears Fan

Today the Bears (the ones with the same colors as my bib) beat the Seattle Seahawks (the ones with the birdies on their helmets).  Next week the Bears are going to play the Green Bay Packers for the NFC Conference Championship.  I hope the Packers have pretty helmets.  I'm learning that around here, football is a family affair. Go Bears!

Rhi & Me

My cousin Rhiannon and Aunt Heather came all the way from Portland, OR to meet me.  Rhiannon & I hit it off from the start and I'm not sure, but I think she's one of my biggest fans.

I'm 3 Months Old!

Check me out!  Ok, ok. I know I don't look all that much different, but let me assure you that I'm getting bigger and bigger all the time.  I think I weigh ~12 pounds now.  Nobody has bothered to actually weigh me, but Mommy is bringing me to work with her now and since she's becoming an expert on "load cells" (things that weigh stuff), we'll probably find out pretty soon.  I'm making my arms and legs move, and although I'm not real good at controlling them yet I can usually connect with whatever toy is dangling within reach of my appendages.  I'm still a great sleeper.  I go to bed at 10 pm and typically don't wake up until at least 4 am - sometimes 6 am - and after I get a shot of milk I go right back to snoozeville.  I proudly show off my good sleep habits while Mommy is at work since there's not much else to do around there anyway.
Do you like my outfit?  The tie-dye is from my creative friend Raecale.  I thought it was appropriate to wear today because, 1) it matches my boogers (I'm fighting a cold), and 2) I'm rooting for Oregon (see all the O's?) to win the BCS National Championship tonight.  Go Ducks!
