Stats

I had my 2-week checkup yesterday.  A little late, since at that point I was 18 days old, but since I'm the second kid nobody's got their diaper in a twist over it.  My parents are big on graphs, so I will direct your attention to the figure at right.  The green dots show my birth height and weight and the blue dots are yesterday's data.  I'm still right around the 50th percentile for height and weight, and believe it or not I've gained a whole pound!

An early career in advertising

One of the gifts I got, just for showing up, was a "Duck Duck Moose" onesie from Maine.  Our friends the Frantzes are moving there soon.  Even better than the onesie was the Wrapagain reusable gift wrapping fabric that it came in.  Looks pretty good wrapped around my bum, don't you think?

Here I am, World!

Greetings! My name is Vivian Kayla Chard and I am very glad to be here. I was born into my loving family on Sunday, 10/10/10 at 1:12 pm. I weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and I was 19.5 inches tall. Since that day two weeks ago a lot has happened! My mom and I hung out at the hospital for a couple of days before coming home to Hyrum. While we were there we were visited by my Grandma Debby, Aunt Brooke, cousins McKenzy & Max, and my Grandpa Dale. My big brother Gavin came to see me, too! The same day we got home from the hospital, my Nana and Papa arrived from Chicago. They stayed for 10 days and gave me lots of cuddles. I had my first bath in the bathtub last week and I really enjoyed it. Gavin let me share the tub with him and he even gave me kisses when he thought I wasn't having fun. Lots of people have come to my house to meet me and to bring presents and food. Mama says we're lucky to have such thoughtful family, friends, and neighbors.
